Location and Directions
This coffee stand is located at the foot of the Stable Bridge over the Sumida River. From The Gate Hotel Ryogoku, walk north along the Sumida River and cross the bridge. It takes about 15 minutes on foot. The nearest station is Kuramae Station.
What kind of coffee is available?
They use specialty, single-origin, home-roasted coffee beans, and each cup is hand-drip brewed. There is a wide variety of beans, so you can choose the one you like best. Don’t worry, just tell them what flavor preference you have, and they will give you their recommendation.
The store
The adjacent Mclean hamburger shop is also very popular and has an American atmosphere. The store is stylish and fashionable looking, as is typical of Kuramae, but it is easy to see from the street and is always crowded with people, so it is easy to stop by.
Incidentally, there is another affiliated store called Leaves Coffee Roasters in Honjo, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, which is a 10-minute walk from The Gate Hotel Ryogoku and is like a hideaway.
