Qu’il fait bon, Exquisite Tarts Made with Seasonal Fruits

Qu’il fait bon

As the name Qu’il fait bon suggests in French, this is a cake shop that is intended to make you feel excited and happy. We would like to introduce this store, which has many fans among the Gate Hotel staff.

A 10-minute walk from The Gate Hotel Tokyo while strolling through Ginza, you will see a cute store with a large show window on Ginza Gas Light Street. If you come by train, it is a 1-minute walk from Ginza 1-chome Station (Exit 5) on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line.

The window is decorated seasonally by a display team called decoratrice.

This summer, the windows depict whale sharks and fish swimming gracefully in the sea. Visitors can watch the fish swimming freely as if they were peeking out of an aquarium or submarine.

Not only a cute shop but there are also exquisite tarts to try

Tarts at Qu’il fait bon are made with the most delicious seasonal fruits harvested in each of the spring, summer, fall, and winter seasons. Strawberries in spring, cherries and melons in early summer, mangoes and peaches in summer, the showcase is like a jewelry box of colorful cakes. There are so many delicious creations to choose from, you’ll have a tough time making a final decision.

Candle Night

A special night at Qu’il fait bon that you should definitely try at least once is Candle Night held on the 20th of every month. The lights are dimmed and lit candles welcomes you.

What is Candle Night?

The “Candle Night for a Million People” started in 2003, calling for people to turn off their lights for two hours on the night of the summer and winter solstices. Since the summer solstice in 2005, Qu’il fait bon has supported this activity and holds a “Candle Night” on the 20th of every month. Candle Night Cakes will be on sale.
The store’s usual interior will be transformed into an even more nostalgic and romantic space. A special cake just for this occasion will also be available.
