The Gate Hotel Tokyo is a 3-minute walk from JR Yurakucho Station. The Essential Double and Essential Hollywood Twin rooms face north and offer a panoramic view of the JR train tracks.

The view toward Hibiya is like having a large railroad diorama all to yourself.

In addition to the Yamanote Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, and Ueno Tokyo Line, the tracks visible from the hotel rooms include the Shinkansen line at the very front.

Since Yurakucho Station, the closest station to the hotel, is one stop away from Tokyo Station, the train slows down and you get the exciting chance to view the white nose of the Tokaido Shinkansen as it passes by.

Also, seeing the moment when the various trains cross each other gives you an indescribable sense of accomplishment, as if something good is about to happen.

In addition to limited express trains and sleeper trains, the Doctor Yellow train is very popular with people of all ages.

Doctor Yellow is also known as “the doctor of bullet trains” or “the yellow bullet train that brings happiness”, but its schedule has not been made public.

Apparently, it makes four round trips a month between Tokyo Station and Hakata Station, departing Tokyo Station on the first day and returning to Hakata Station on the second day, and departing Hakata Station on the third day and returning to Tokyo Station on the fourth day.

The 7-car train is shorter than the Shinkansen, but it runs at a slower speed than the Shinkansen because of its proximity to Tokyo Station.
